As you begin your Irisize.com journey, your first stop will be signing in and setting up an Irisize.com account. You will need to follow the different steps provided, including entering your details and credit card information if you are using the Toolbar or Touchpad, to begin the process.

You will then need to determine what kinds of things you plan on using Irisize.com for. Each different use has a different price plan, and upon paying for what you want, you will be guided that particular path.
Once your account has been approved, and your options paid for, you will then move into the "irisize" your picture section, consisting of a few easy steps.

My Iris
My Iris is your Irisize.com account. On My Iris, all your "irisized" image creation history is displayed, along with your account status. It's an easy way to manage your "irisized" images.

My Iris is also where you store and update your images and your email addresses. At any time, you can visit your My Iris and then either email, output, or update your images.

To access My Iris, either Log In from anywhere on the site, or if you have already done so, click My Iris on the top navigation bar.

Getting Started
Follow the different steps through the wizard to begin "irisizing" your digital pictures.

When you first arrive at the Getting Started page, you will have the option to install the recommended Irisize.com Drag & Drop controls or use the Simple Photo Upload path. Once you’ve chosen either path, you’re ready to begin Irisizing.

1. In A, you can choose whether you want to create a Single Picture Zoom, a 3D Rotatable image, or a Multi Picture Gallery.
   
   
2. In B, regardless of Drag & Drop or Simple Upload path, you are prompted to input your Project name and add a description of your new interactive image or Gallery.
   
   
3. In C, If you installed the Drag & Drop Active X controls, can just drag and drop pictures into the different uploaders, edit your pictures as needed, and then upload single or multiple digital photos to begin Irisizing.
   
   Iris Drag & Drop Photo Uploaders. Just drag and drop your image(s) onto the loader. Once in the loader, by clicking on the individual images you can edit them separately, or in the case of multiple images, as a group. You can move the images around to arrange them as needed. The Uploader compresses your digital pictures as it uploads. For the Gallery, just drag and drop your images into the Gallery template. The Uploader will automatically scale your thumbnails to fit the amount of digital pictures you want to display. You can show up to 24 pictures in the gallery.
   
   Once your pictures are uploaded, two more steps are required to complete the irisize process: Add Enhancements and then Output Pictures.
   
   If you choose Non-Active X Simple Photo Upload, depending on whether you've chosen single, 3D, or Touchpad Gallery, you will be prompted to upload via a slot or multiple slots on the screen. After this, you will go through Prep Pictures for 3D, Edit Pictures for all, Add Enhancements, and then Output Pictures. This will then be a simple five step process.
   
   Picture Editing in Uploader. Once you've loaded your image/s into the Uploader, Irisize.com gives you the ability to adjust different elements of the individual image or series of images (3D rotate). You can adjust the brightness/contrast, flip, rotate, crop, and shift individual images or series of images before uploading. To edit your image(s), you can click the series of buttons, each which allows you to perform a different functionality, then edit and upload.
   
   
4. Simple Upload. Click the browse button next to each slot and upload your digital pictures one at a time. Upon clicking upload, the pictures will upload into Irisize.com. Click Browse, and scroll through your images . Select the image or images you'd like to Irisize (add interactive functionality) - the image(s) needs to be a .jpg image. Then click Submit.
   
   Your choices are either a single image that you can enhance or a series of images all taken from different consecutive angles of an object. If you click multi-image, 15 additional upload boxes appear so that you can uploaded a recommended 16 images for a smooth spin.

Prep Pictures
If you use the Simple Photo Uploader and are creating a 3D rotation, you will see a preview of your irisized picture, with the ability to adjust the order for your multiple images to insure optimal smoothness of rotation.

Edit Pictures
If you use the Simple Photo Uploader, you will have the ability to preview and edit your digital pictures with all the same functionality as the Active X Uploader. You can adjust the brightness/contrast, flip, rotate, crop, and shift individual images or series of images.

Add Enhancements
Below is a list of the various enhancements of Irisize.com that you might encounter. Each one offers its own unique capability in the process of Irisizing images:

Preview
Preview is where you see your images come alive right in front of you. You can choose whether to view the image with the Irisize Toolbar or Touchpad. Each interface offers a different way to interact for different types of output mechanisms. The Touchpad can be used for any digital medium, while the Toolbar is exclusively for the Web.

The Preview page is the conduit to all the different functionalities in the enhancements section. Your images have already been automatically given Zoom capability.

Zoom allows you to provide incredible new image magnification with clarity never before achieved in a mass market digital format. When you input an image into Irisize.com, your image is automatically provided with incredible zooming capability. If you just want Zoom, you can immediately email your image, or output its computer code (HTML) into eBay, MySpace, blogs, websites, or PowerPoint presentations*. Otherwise, you can add the different functionalities.

Zoom Adjust
The Zoom Adjust tab and page allows you to determine the starting thumbnail size of your zoomable image. You adjust the slider or fill in the boxes to determine the starting size of the image. When ready, click Preview, and you'll move to the PREVIEW page, where you can see your image zoom like never before from your determined starting size.

Measure
Measure allows you to provide a pictorial way of displaying object dimensions. Just measure the height and width of objects either with the real object or on a photo, and input those dimensions into Irisize.com.

Steps to follow:

1. Once on the Measure tab and page, you are now ready to create the dimensions of your object for display. However, Irisize.com cannot extract your measurements without you physically measuring the horizontal and vertical dimensions of your object with a ruler or tape measure. Once you have your measurements and know the units you want to display them in, you are Now ready to proceed.
   
   
2. In Single Image mode, click the radio button for either Horizontal or Vertical. Having done so, move your mouse onto your image, and mark the spot where you'd like to draw a measurement. Then drag the red line with your mouse the length of the measurement you'd like.
   
   
3. For 3-D Multi-Image mode, click on the specific picture frame of the multiple frames making up the 3D, then follow the steps in Step 2.
   
   
4. Input the units that go with the measurement.
   
   
5. When finished, click Preview to view your image and its dimensions. Mouse over the ruler on the Touchpad to see the dimensions. The dimensions will be displayed on the image in the same manner that you created them with.

Color Change
Color Change gives you the ability to provide changeable colors or patterns to images for your customers or friends. To do so is a simple process.

There are a couple of different ways to achieve this:

By far the simplest and easiest is the Iris Active X Instant Color Changer.

This is an exciting new, easy-to-use way to create multiple different color options for items or pictures in seconds without any programming knowledge. The control is built to allow a user to simply click anywhere on an image, adjust a few sliders, and then add new colors changes to their original picture(s). Works for both Single Picture Zooms and 3D Rotations.

The next option is the Active X Color Change & Swatch Uploader.

This is a simple drag and drop process that easily allows you to add pre-created color changes to your original picture. Simply drag and drop pictures into the loader, select a color from the image to create a new swatches and repeat for each new picture.

A third option is the Simple Photo Color Changer.

Here, you select a color swatch that resembles the color of the digital picture you plan to attach to your existing irisized picture. Then upload the different colored images that correspond to your irisized picture. For example, you can sell a yellow Porsche, but if the Porsche comes in other colors, you can see that too.

Manually creating your own color changes:

To adjust the actual image color of an image requires some editorial work prior to coming to Irisize.com. For best results, Irisize.com recommends two primary options: the GIMP (www.gimp.org), a freeware program, and Adobe Photoshop (www.adobe.com).

When used with the GIMP or Adobe Photoshop, it becomes a simple process that can be done following our prescribed steps.

1. Upon arriving in Color Change, you will be prompted to add up to four different colors or patterns to you image. How do I do this? There are two basic ways to go. The first is to download the GIMP, a onetime free download, that will allow you to make adjustments to your image or to use or download Adobe Photoshop, a high end editing program that you have to pay for.
   
   
2. To download the GIMP, you can go to www.GIMP.org. You can download the GIMP and follow the steps outlined below.
   
   
3. To download Adobe Photoshop, you can go to www.adobe.com. You can download Photoshop and follow the steps outlined below.
   
   
4. In the GIMP, for basic color change follow the steps.
   1. Click on File.
   2. Click on Open to find the image you're already using.
   3. Find the image you want and click Open.
   4. The image will open, and you click Tools.
   5. In Tools, click Color Tools.
   6. In Color Tools click Hue-Saturation.
   7. Once clicked, you are prompted to choose a color to adjust. Pick the color most similar to the image you want to change. Then slide the Hue slider. This will adjust the color.
   8. Save the different colored images you want.
      
      
5. On the Color Change, in Single image mode, simply click on the color swatch for image number 1. A color picker will appear. Pick the color that matches your object. Then upload the image that you adjusted either in the GIMP or Photoshop into the slot. Redo this process 1 - 3 more times as needed.
   1. For 3-D Multi-Image mode, click on the number of the image you'd like to add Color Change to, and then follow the steps in Step 5.
      
      
6. When done, click Preview to see how it's working. You will be transferred to the Preview page for viewing.
   
   *In Photoshop, you can make color changes one of two basic ways. For basic Color Change, there's the Hue/Saturation adjustment or using for specific area adjustments or pattern change, there's the Pen Tool.
   
   Basic Photoshop Color Change:
   
   1. Open your image in Photoshop.
   2. Under Image, click on Adjustments, then Hue/Saturation.
   3. In Hue Saturation, in the Edit box, scroll down and find the color of your image.
   4. Adjust the Hue, Saturation, or Lightness sliders in combination to change the color.
   5. Save the different images.
      
      
   Specific area Color Change or pattern changes in Photoshop:
   
   6. Use the Magnetic Lasso or Pen and Anchor Point tools to select the object or the part of the object you're interested in changing the color, then copy and paste the selected area.
   7. Link only those two layers by highlighting one layer and clicking on the first box to the left of the layer name. A link will appear that looks like a paperclip when you have them linked. Then merge them together by going to LAYER at the top of the page and then "Merge Linked" - now you should have one layer that is just the shirt. Turn off the background layer for now so that it doesn't get in the way.
   8. With this new layer selected go to IMAGE > ADJUSTMENT > DESATURATE. Now this layer that is just the object or part of the object, will be gray.
   9. Create a new, blank layer, on top on the object layer.
   10. Use the Shape Tool to draw a box over the object area and fill it in with one of the selected colors for the object. You will possibly need to Rasterize this layer. Go to LAYER > RASTERIZE > SHAPE.
   11. After you have a flat shape in the layers pallate, look at the top where it says NORMAL and then next to it the opacity change. Leave the opacity at 100 and change the "normal" to "color". This give the overlay without losing the shading of the image on the layer below.
   12. Click on the the Shirt Layer. Now hold down Command while you click on the shirt layer in the palate. This will select the entire shirt layer. While this area is selected, click on the colored box layer. Now you should have selected the area from the shirt and be actually clicked on the colored area. go SELECT > INVERSE, then delete. This will delete everything but the selected shirt area on the colored layer and now your shirt should be a different color.
   13. Then repeat from step four for every color.

Add Hotspots
Add Hotspots gives you a way to graphically highlight specific attributes or regions on an object or image. Just by clicking on the desired area, uploading a zoomed-in image of the area, and adding text, you can have this capability.

As with Color Changer, and depending on whether you installed the Active X Drag & Drop controls, you have the choice of a completely drag and drop Hotspot creation process or a standard uploaded process.

For the Drag & Drop Hotpots Uploader, here are some pointers and steps in the process:

1. For a Single image, you can add up to 4 Hotspots per image. For 3-D, you can add 4 Hotspots per each of the multiple images. These images or frames are accessed right above the Hotspot loader.
2. To add hotspots, just move the orange square target anywhere on the picture, and click. This will pop up a new window. Here you can drag and drop a picture, and add text if needed. A number 1 – 4 will appear where the hotspot is positioned. A large thumbnail of the image and the text will appear in the slots below the main image.
3. When you Preview the image, the hotspots will be accessible either by clicking on the hotspot on the image for Toolbar or by moving your process over the targets on the Touchpad.

1. For a Single image, you can add up to 4 Hotspots per image. For 3-D, you can add 4 Hotspot per each of the multiple images.
   
   
2. In Single Image mode, click on a spot on your image where you'd like your hotspot to connect to.
   
   
3. Next to number 1, type in the text you'd like it to show.
   
   
4. Click Browse and upload the image you'd like to represent that hotspot (generally a close up image of the area is used, but it can be anything). Irisize.com automatically sizes any image uploaded to fit into a standard hotspot size.
   
   
5. For Single Image mode, repeat step 5 up to 3 more times as needed.
   
   
6. When ready, click Save Hotspot Images to save them as part of your Irisized image.
   
   NB. If you return to the Add Hotspots page later on, and you re-upload one new hotspot image, you need to re-upload all the hotspot images before saving them.
   
   
7. To Preview everything, click the Preview tab.

Show Info
Show Info provides a simple way to display the text you need, but keeping the image the focus of the
end user.

To create Info, follow these simple steps:

1. Click Show Info on the Navigation bar, once your image(s) has been uploaded into Irisize.com.
   
   
2. For both Single Image and 3D Multi-Image, the information is the same. You fill in the Category name (i.e. Specs, Price, etc.) you desire (up to 4), then add a Description for that Category.
   
   
3. When finished, click Preview, to Preview your work.
   
   
4. To add HTML to your Description:
   Just add your HMTL as you normally would. E.g. <b>BOLD</b> for BOLD.
   Do NOT add line breaks E.g. <br>, just Enter at the end of each line instead.

Output Pictures
Irisize lets you easily export your "irisized" into 4 primary categories: Output for Web, Output for Email, Output for Community Sites & Blogs, and Output for Ebay. Just follow the simple steps to output as desired.

Output for Web produces HTML that you copy and paste into your website or blog.

Output for Email automatically places your "irisized" image inside an email template, and lets you create and send emails.

Output for Ebay sends you through to the Ebay Turbolister.

You will also have the option to output for PowerPoint. Although somewhat complex, it is certainly possible to do by following these steps.

To embed your image directly in PowerPoint, this requires the following steps.

1. Click on www.liveweb.com link to download LiveWeb Plugin
   
   
2. Open PowerPoint, select Tools, Addins..., then Add New and select the LiveWeb.ppa plugin.
   
   
3. Select all and copy the code into a web page, which can be a blank web page.
   
   
4. Then in Powerpoint select Insert then Web Pages, and follow the LiveWeb Wizard to add the webpage with your irisized code to your PowerPoint presentation.
5. Make sure you’re connected to the Internet whenever displaying you presentation.

Ebay Turbolister
Once you have clicked the Output for Ebay, you are taken to this section, which allows you to integrate your irisized listing directly into Ebay built right into Irisize.com. In one simple step, you create an interactive listing on Ebay.

3D Rotate
What is it? It's the ability to enable a user to see all angles of an object.

How do I photograph and create it?

1. What I'll need:
   For small to medium objects: digital camera, tripod, white Lazy Susan (turntable), white backdrop.
   
   For larger objects and cars: digital camera, tripod, tape measure, chalk or erasable marker, large white sheet or backdrop.
   
   
2. The steps to follow:
   
   Small to Medium objects
   
   1. Place the digital camera on the tripod, and the Lazy Susan on a flat surface (most likely a table).
   2. Put up the white backdrop behind the white Lazy Susan. Mark a recommended 16 different marks equi-distant from one another around the flat viewable edge of the Lazy Susan.
   3. Mark the table or object upon which the Lazy Susan sits (tape recommended)
   4. Place an object in the center of the Lazy Susan approx. equidistant from the sides.
   5. Position your camera facing the object with the white backdrop directly behind it.
   6. Manually focus the camera and lock the focus. Set the image size at 640 by 480 pixels and higher.
   7. Move the Lazy Susan one mark, then take a picture. Manually move the Lazy Susan to all the marks on the viewable edge, each time snapping a single photo of the object at each mark.
   8. Once the recommended 16 images has been taken, you then upload those images into your computer's hard drive.
   9. Upload those images to Irisize.com in the 3D Rotatable image mode. Begin to irisize them.
   
   Large objects
   
   1. Place or move the object you're photographing onto a flat surface, with ample room to shoot around it.
   2. Hold the tape measure in the center of the object touching the middle of the top. Extend the measure outward, and while holding your chalk or erasable marker, draw a complete circle around the object.
   3. Draw a line from the circle through the center of the circle all the way across, then divide those semi-circles in half, and keep splitting them until there are 16 marks equidistant apart along the circle.
   4. Create a moveable white backdrop, and position it at a certain angle.
   5. With your digital camera mounted to your tripod, take an image at the 16 marks around the circle, each time moving the backdrop to behind the object you're shooting.
   6. Connect your camera to your computer, and upload your images.
   7. In Irisize.com, upload the images, and begin irisizing your image.

Iris Touchpad -- the "hold in your hands" way to view your Irisized images.

	Zoom	-	Move your mouse up and down over the top section of the Touchpad to enlarge images.
	Rotate	-	Move side-to-side in unison with Zoom on the top section to turn objects around.
	Measure	-	Move your mouse over the ruler to see Object dimensions.
	Color Change	-	Move your mouse over the color Swatches to see color or pattern changes.
	Hotspots	-	Move your mouse over the pluses in the Hotspot Area to see pop-up text and/or images pointing out specific features or areas of an item.
	Info (Information)	-	Move your mouse over the information categories at the base of the touch pad.

Iris Toolbar -- the sleek, sophisticated way to view your Irisized images.

	Zoom	-	Move the slider side-to- to enlarge images.
	Rotate	-	Click and hold the left, right, and manual buttons to turn objects around.
	Measure	-	Click the measure icon, then click and drag your mouse over the digital object.
	Color Change	-	Move your mouse over the color Swatches to see color or pattern changes.
	Hotspots	-	Move your mouse over the targets on the image to see pop-up text and/or images pointing out specific features or areas of an item.
	Info (Information)	-	Move your mouse over the information button, then click on any of the dropped down categories.

Iris Touchpad Gallery -- the easiest way to display your pictures
Either drag and drop your images right into the Iris Active X uploader, arrange them, edit them, and then output them, or submit your pictures one-by-one into the Simple Photo Upload and output your Gallery.

When the Gallery is finalized you can output it for email, websites, blogs, MySpace, eBay, and more.
